The Philosophy
At Little House Montessori we follow the Montessori philosophy in all that we do. Honoring each child's feelings, needs, and development leads our purpose. Instilling independence, desire for exploration, and instincts to treat others with respect and kindness are our goals. The children are supported through gentle redirection, an expertly prepared environment, conflict resolution guidance, and a constant loving atmosphere. |
At LHM you will find...
-a comfortable environment where your child feels calm and focused -a sense of confidence and capability for every child to independently explore -an uninterrupted work cycle to build concentration and a conscious approach to activities -creativity with problem solving, compassion for all living things, and coordination as their bodies grow -a connection between your child and their peers and between the community of parents and caregivers |
Our History
Little House was created to find the perfect balance between the comfort of home, vital socialization, and a whole child education. Little House Montessori opened in 2020, with our number one focus to be on child, parent, and family support. Little House provides children with a safe place to learn, explore, grow, and connect. Little House follows the observations and philosophy of Maria Montessori, an Italian Doctor and educator (1870-1952). Montessori believed a child should be provided a space to do for themselves, with materials that allowed for independence, while creating respect and responsibility for the world around them. |
The Little House location will be growing from a home living room space to an independent atmosphere, completely tailored to the children's needs. With an indoor~outdoor classroom and a large natural playground, the children have a space all their own to grow and thrive.
